My mother is suffering from psoriatic arthritis she often sees her medical health practitioner for that. I was going through her medical file and I got a chance to read about psoriatic arthritis. I found the handout in her file which was based on psoriatic arthritis. In the handout I found some information about diet which can help in reducing the psoriatic arthritis symptoms. I also learnt from the handout that the medications obviously work but they have so many side effects that the person feels unfortunate to have such a disease. In other words, taking medications for psoriatic arthritis is just like inviting another disease in the form of side effects.
After reading all this I decided to find natural ways that can help my mother to reduce the pain and discomfort of psoriatic arthritis. Eat fresh fruits and vegetables in your daily diet. For instance, you can eat fresh food salad, fresh fruit juices etc.
Exclude processed food from your diet. For instance, all those items that comes in cans, jars, packets, cartons and boxes.
Stop going fast food restaurants too often. Some people can’t live without burgers and pizzas which can be really harmful for arthritis of any type and other such diseases.
Eliminate dairy products and wheat from your diet if you want to eliminate psoriatic arthritis from your life.

Also include good proteins in your diet for e.g. beef, chicken and fish. Consumption of good protein can help in reducing symptoms of psoriatic arthritis. It is also considered as the building block of a human body. When you take good protein you will make difference in your health. Remember that taking good proteins is not enough but make sure that it is clean and anti-biotic free too. In other words, it should be fresh and completely natural. By natural we actually mean that the fish must not be farmed fish and chicken fed on grass not on grains.
Beside diet changes we need to bring some other changes in our lifestyle. For instance, we must keep ourselves away from stress and start taking things positively. We must include walk and exercise in our routine in order to keep ourselves fit. Say ‘goodbye’ to smoking, caffeine, alcohol and soda.
It is not so easy to start a new diet plan like arthritis diet instantly as sometimes we are so much used to of taking certain kind of foods. That we can’t avoid and sometimes we don’t want to avoid it. The example of such food includes soda, process food, spicy food, dairy products, wheat etc. these are not good for our health. The good thing is that there are some recipes available for arthritis sufferers to make it easy to change the diet plan.
